Please assist the Commercial Property Management Department in evaluating your request for satellite dish installation by providing us the following requirements.
| 1. |
An official request for a satellite dish must come to us from the owner. It must be eligibly written request and it must be dated, and signed with title, by the owner or the manager of the business inquiring this service. You may in the interim fax this signed letter to us to further the approval process, but we would need the original mailed to us. Within the body of that letter, we will need to know the following information: |
| |
a. |
The size, weight, and dimensions, of the dish and the mount. |
| |
b. |
The wind rating on the installed dish. Up to what percentage of wind velocity it can withstand. |
| |
c. |
A statement indicating that the dish will be installed at a location on the roof that will not be visible by visitors of the center.
|
| 2. |
The letter of request and installation and all requirements must come to us before an installation date can be set. If an installation date is made before we approve the conditions of this installation, it will not be considered for approval and it will be denied.
|
| 3. |
All satellite dish installs are to be wired through either: |
| |
a. |
Pre-existing roof penetrations, or… |
| |
b. |
Creating a roof penetration for the wiring (requires approved roofer). |
| |
c. |
All roof penetrations will have to be conducted through our contracted roofer to determine the proper application for this type of installation. This is a requirement for monitoring and warranty of our roofs. Please note that this service is a tenant request and is not covered by the landlord maintenance section of your lease. You will be billed directly for services provided by our roofer. The roofer varies with each property, and this information will be provided separately.
|
| 4. |
Another requirement is a protection pad made of rubber, ½ inch thick and 3'x 4' that must be placed beneath the mount to properly secure the mount and to protect the roof.
|
| 5. |
Concrete masonry blocks may not be used as counterweights for the satellite. The comparable weight in sandbags or other soft materials should be used. |
