A. J. Dwoskin & Associates, Inc., a real estate development and management company, was formed by
Albert J. Dwoskin in 1967. With 103 employees, the company is a fully integrated real estate company
with acquisition, construction, property management, leasing and asset management capabilities. Mr.
Dwoskin has been the Chief Executive Officer of the company since its organization.
The company currently manages a portfolio of commercial and residential properties in the Northern
Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. Existing properties are all located in Arlington, Fairfax and Prince
William Counties.
The portfolio includes 18 shopping centers, containing 1.4 million square feet of retail space and 9
multifamily apartment communities with 1,843 units.
The retail properties are located in well-established, densely-populated neighborhoods, with attractive
demographics. Many of the centers are anchored by or are adjacent to supermarkets, discount department
stores or drugstores. Most tenants in the centers occupy between 1,500 and 3,000 square feet.
The apartment communities are typically occupied by middle-income adults and families. All of the
apartment units tend to be larger than units currently being built and all have undergone renovation.
Renovations include new heat pumps and kitchen cabinets, as well as updated appliances. Over 80% of
the units include washers and dryers. In addition, some communities have playgrounds, swimming pools
and exercise facilities.
