Stuart Woods Apartments Celebrates
National Night Out
Each August, neighbors and police nationwide join together to celebrate National Night Out Against Crime. NNO has proven to be an effective and enjoyable program to strengthen neighborhood spirit and promote police-community partnerships. An estimated 34 million people participate annually in National Night Out. Stuart Woods hosted a NNO celebration for community residents with a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers. Both the young and the young at heart participated in the hula hoop contest, played on the moon bounce and tested their aim at the dunk tank. Special guests at the event included McGruff the Crime Dog, local law enforcement officers and firefighters. The event was so popular, the Town of Herndon awarded Stuart Woods with an Outstanding Participation Award for 2005!
